Dear Winnsboro ISD Families and Staff,
This morning, our staff at Winnsboro Memorial Intermediate School discovered a message written on the school's sidewalk that referenced a shooting threat. We want to assure you that school officials began investigating immediately to ensure the safety and security of our students and staff.
Video footage was reviewed, and those responsible were quickly identified as minors. Authorities have since spoken with them, and after a thorough investigation, it has been determined that the threat was not credible. All students are safe, and there is no danger to our campus.
The safety of our students and staff is our top priority, and we are committed to maintaining a secure and supportive learning environment. Thank you for your understanding and support.
Sincerely,
Dave Wilcox
WISD Superintendent of Schools
