WISD stakeholders, community members, teachers and administrators held a strategic planning meeting today to work together to complete a district needs assessment. This assessment will help complete the campus and district improvement plans.




Reminder: All WISD campuses will be closed Friday, April 29, 2022. Have a wonderful three-day weekend!


WISD will be conducting emergency preparedness drills at each campus this morning. As an extension of the drills we will also be testing our internal emergency communication system.


Your Lady Raiders have earned the title of District Runner up tying for second in the district! They are now on their way to round one of the playoffs!!!!


The FCCLA students are participating in their annual job shadow day today! During job shadow day, students select a local professional to shadow for the day to gain firsthand knowledge of various career paths.

Due to pending weather on Tuesday and Wednesday, the baseball games at Quitman will now be played on Monday, April 11. Same start times as previously scheduled.


On Monday, April 4, 2022 school officials were made aware that two WISD students received threatening text messages.
Due to the nature of the threats, WISD officials launched a full investigation. The investigation included WISD school resources officers, the Winnsboro Police Department, and members of the FBI.
After a thorough and extensive investigation, it was determined that the threats were not credible and those involved were never in any direct danger.
WISD would like to assure the community that all threats made against our students are taken seriously. The safety of our staff and students remains our top priority. WISD officials would like to thank the members of the Winnsboro Police Department and the FBI for their quick response and assistance in the investigation.
