It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the sudden and tragic loss of one of our Winnsboro High School students. Our entire Winnsboro ISD family is devastated by this heartbreaking news.
Tomorrow, we will have counselors and local area youth pastors available at the high school to provide support for our students and staff as we navigate through this difficult time together. Please know that we are here for you, and we will do everything we can to help you through this.
As a community, we are mourning this loss, and we will come together not only as a school but as a community to support each other during this incredibly challenging time. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of our beloved student. #WinnsboroStrong
WHS FCCLA students participated in the Region 3 competition in Waco today. All participants are advancing to State!!! Julia Mitchell and Emerson King competed in hospitality and tourism and placed 1st. Addi brown and Addyson Sullivan competed in nutrition and wellness and placed 1st. Cassie Coleman and Yulisa Perez competed in chapter service portfolio and placed 2nd. Jordyn Heady competed in culinary and placed 4th.
We're thrilled to share that the clasroom furniture for our brand-new Meat Lab has arrived and was installed today! It's a major milestone in the development of our facilities, and we can't wait for you all to see the transformation.
This state-of-the-art space will provide our students with the ideal environment to enhance their skills and knowledge in meat processing.
This morning, WHS came together for an incredible send-off for Gage Fulmer as he embarks on his journey to compete in the state wrestling match! The energy and support were truly inspiring as we rallied behind Gage, wishing him the best of luck in representing our school at the highest level.
