Winnsboro High School will be expanding its career and technical education (CTE) course offerings in the near future. WHS plans to add Culinary Arts to the list of available classes.
To increase interest and awareness of the new culinary class, WISD CTE consultant, Dr. Nate Templeton held a cooking demonstration for students in Principals of Hospitality and Principals of Human Services classes.
During the presentation, Templeton cooked Down-home Pasta with the help of a few student volunteers. He discussed the importance of hand washing, seasonings, and other cooking tips and tricks. He showed students how to cook the meal from start to finish and they were able to sample the food when it was done.
WHS plans to begin offering culinary arts classes in the fall of 2023.
