During the regular meeting of the Winnsboro ISD Board of Trustees on June 22, three newly elected board members, Diane Robinson, place 4, Shavon Duffey, place 2, and Michael Walpole, place 1, were officially sworn in and took their seats on the board.
The board heard public forum remarks from Joe Stokes before moving into regular business.
Trustees approved the consent agenda, which included the minutes from the May 13 regular board meeting. The board also received informational reports regarding bills paid and the district's financial report, the renewal of student accident insurance, and the district safety report.
All items of new business were approved by a unanimous 6-0 vote.
Board members elected officers for the upcoming year, with Brandon Green remaining as Board President, Chip Brown serving as Vice President, and Kristie Amason serving as Secretary.

Resignations, retirements, and new hires as presented
The board also approved the resignation of Interim Superintendent Jeff Conovan, effective June 25, 2026.
To conclude the meeting, trustees approved the 2026-2027 employee compensation plan, including a 3% salary increase for administrative staff.
