Winnsboro ISD Special Education Department recognizes that every student has unique individual needs. We strive to provide programs that meet the academic, physical, social, behavioral, and emotional needs of every student so that each student has equal opportunities to succeed and become a contributing member of society.

Special education services are available and provided to students who meet special education eligibility criteria for a TEA identified disability. Eligibility is determined by the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee based on the student’s FIE (full and individual evaluation), TEA identified disability, and demonstrated need for specially designed instruction.
